Alcantara Product Service System Design

Working for Alcantara in Milan and Rome I tackled a design challenge.  I teamed up with 4th year Graduate Students in the Product Service System Design program at the Politecnico University of Milan.  We were challenged to learn about the company and product of Alcantara and to explore new areas and applications.  My team focused on leveraging the intrinsic properties of Alcantara itself and combining it with technology to create multi use devices.

We also looked at Alcantara's current business model based mainly of business to business interaction and looked into developing a business to consumer brand.  Targeting luxury and customizability we created myAlcantara.  Using a personalized web based platform customers can tailor each product to their personal tastes and needs.  Each product would be made to the customers specifications to ensure exclusivity and personal connection.  The initial product line was composed of travel accesories that fused Alcantara with integrated technology to create a transformative product.
