Fabrication

I'd like to think that I have always been a fabricator and to tell you the truth I can't definitively remember when I first started.  While I can't say when it started I am pretty sure as to why.  It usually comes back to my desire for something better than what already exists.  Being impatient, instead of waiting for someone else or some other company to get around to making what I want, I learned how to fabricate so that I can do it myself.  Because there are so many things out there that I think can be improved, it is a perpetual process to continue to learn new techniques and materials to create what my mind envisions and designs.

My first formal training involved getting certified as a machinist through the National Institute for Metalworking Skills.  I took several courses that started with hand tools and moved all the way up to automated manufacturing and mass production with multi axis CNC machine tools and robotic arms.  Informally I have learned through necessity.  Tackling numerous projects required me to learn the appropriate skills and materials to create the final product.
